What is a break?
A group break is where multiple people can share the cost of a box or multiple boxes by purchasing a “spot” for that particular break. Each spot that is purchased corresponds to a team and for any cards pulled that match your team, you then get to keep. Once all spots have sold, the break is presented via live stream on Instagram and You Tube. Group breaks are not only a cost effective way to give you a chance at pulling something huge, they are super fun to be part of.
What is a mini?
A mini break is a fun way to fill a break the main break. Generally a mini will have 10 available spots to be purchased at the fraction of the price of a “main” spot, however you are not guaranteed a place in the main break. Once the mini break is sold out, we use a randomising app to determine who will progress through to the main break, often only the top 1-3 spots will move through.
What type of breaks do you offer?
- 30 Spot Random – 30 Spots per break (1 spot per team for NBA), each at the same set price. Once all spots are filled, we use a randomiser app which will then allocated everyone a team for that break.
- 10 Spot Random – 10 Spots per break, each spot consists of 3 teams. Once all spots are filled, we use a randomiser app which will then allocated everyone a team for that break.
- Pick Your Own Team (PYT) – PYT gives you the opportunity to purchase a specific team. Each team has its own $ value attached which can vary from break to break and takes into consideration certain criteria such as: Rookies in the team for that particular year, MVP’s, potential MVP, championship teams, potential championship team, possible player autographs, patches and short printed items.
Shipping - How do I receive my cards once a break has concluded?
To have your cards sent out to you, simply purchase our stand alone on demand shipping product and your items will be shipped on the next delivery day. Currently Black Dog Sports Cards ships items every Tuesday and Friday. You have the flexibility to purchase shipping at any time and if you prefer to build up your collection over multiple breaks before purchasing shipping, that’s totally fine.

Yes, we currently offer international shipping to a select number of countries. Specific costs per country are as follows.
